How Democrats Succeeded

On January 24, 2021, the New York Times published an article, How Democrats Planned for Doomsday, opening with, “[a] huge coalition of activist groups had been working together since the spring to make sure that Joe Biden won and that the “election stayed won” amid Donald Trump’s subterfuge.”

“They convened to craft a plan for answering the onslaught on American democracy, and they soon reached a few key decisions. They would stay off the streets for the moment and hold back from mass demonstrations that could be exposed to an armed mob goaded on by President Donald J. Trump.”

Their media “guru,” Anat Shenker-Osorio advised against calling the January 6 insurrection a “coup” because that could make Trump appear stronger than he was or imply a militia had seized power.

On February 4, 2021, Time Magazine published an exposé on the Democrats’ campaign to secure a victory for Joe Biden in the 2020 Presidential Election.   Entitled The Secret History of the Shadow Campaign That Saved the 2020 Election, the lengthy article is a mix of confession, bragging, and spin.  It tells the story of a conspiracy between labor unions and business leaders that worked together for more than a year to impact every aspect of the election.

The basis for this alliance was an indulgent belief that Democrats would take back both the White House and Congress, and, ironically, any other outcome could only be the result of a stolen election.  They were convinced that their actions to pre-determine an election outcome was necessary to avert the “disaster” of a second Trump term, and they wanted people to know that the Biden victory “didn’t happen accidentally.”

“That’s why the participants want the secret history of the 2020 election told, even though it sounds like a paranoid fever dream – a well-funded cabal of powerful people, ranging across industries and technologies, working together behind the scenes to influence perceptions, change rules and laws, steer media coverage and control the flow of information.  They were not rigging the election; they were fortifying it.  And they believe the public needs to understand the system’s fragility in order to ensure that democracy in America endures.”

  • The Left controlled demonstrators and could activate them or tell them to stand down as needed. Why didn’t they do that in summer of 2020?
  • The Media is irresponsible in its choice of words.  Armed Mob.  Goaded.
